Here you will find summaries and screenshots of stuff that was cut out of the Androids saga when it was televised on Cartoon Network.
Pretty much cut-free... until the last five minutes or so.
CUT - When 20 grabbed that guy and pulled him out of his car, there was a short cut where 20 squeezed the poor guy's throat.
CUT - At the end when Yamcha was being held in the air by 20, you could hear a weird cracking kind of sound. A lot of people I know mistook it for Yamcha's jaw breaking, but what really happened is Android 20 shoved his arm through poor Yamcha's chest!
There's a lot of Yamcha cuts in this one. Take a look.
CUT - I'm pretty sure the flashback of last episode had cuts, but my DVD didn't have the flashback, so I couldn't tell. I reckon it showed 20 shoving his arm through Yamcha's chest, so they cut it a bit.
CUT - These ones were very noticable because the music skips. There were some shots of 20's arm in Yamcha's chest.
CUT - They cut the part where Android 20 pulls his arm out of Yamcha's chest, causing blood to drip on the ground. After all those cuts, people watching the cut version don't even see why Yamcha has a hole in his chest.
CUT - There's a quick shot of blood running down Yamcha's shoes and dripping onto the ground that was cut.
CUT - When Master Roshi and Oolong are watching aerobics, there's a few close-ups of the girls' legs that were cut.
More cuts... but still no sign of any censors! Weird.
CUT - The entire Marron scene was filled with cuts, and I really don't remember them all. But the stuff I do remember is Master Roshi and Oolong were reading a dirty magazine, Roshi hid it under the table when Marron walked in... and there was a really weird part involving a plant.
Not too much to report in this episode compared to the last ones, but we do see the first censor of the saga!
CUT - When Yajirobe is holding Chibi Trunks up in the air, something wet lands on Yajirobe's face. I'm not sure whether it's saliva or what, we don't see. But anyway, they cut those few seconds.
NON-CENSOR - During Vegeta's flashback of how he went Super Saiyan, there's a part where he's covered in a lot of blood which I thought would be censored, but it wasn't.
CENSOR - Okay, this was censored. Just after the part above, Vegeta tightens his fist, causing more blood to seep between his fingers. Why does everyone do that on this show?
More cuts and another censor... nothing out of the ordinary.
NON-CENSOR - The blood that comes out of Android 19's nose wasn't censored, but I thought it would be. I guess they didn't censor it because Vegeta talks about it right afterwards.
CUT - After Veggie rips Android 19's hands off, some squirts of blood come out of 19's arms, which was cut.
CUT - When Android 19 gets blown to bits and his head is flying through the air, there's a quick cut where his head bounces off the ground, trailing a fair bit of blood.
CENSOR - When 19's head is just sitting on the ground, there was a pool of blood there that was censored.
Eh???? NOTHING! No cuts or censors that I could see.
Not much here. Kinda boring.
CENSOR - When it has a close-up of Dr. Gero's arm, there's some "blood" running down it that was censored... Well, actually, it looks more like oil... or something...
EYECATCHER! - They showed an eyecatcher! Before the first set of ads, I think it was. But it was the only one. It was so cute! ^_^ I'll let you guys know if I see another. Unfortunately, I wasn't taping it, so I can't get a screenshot. :(
CUT - There's a bit near the end that was cut where Chibi Trunks touches Bulma's breast. Weird.
This episode was chock full of things to report. Just read! ^_^
CUT - There's a short cut just before Krillin finds Dr. Gero's footprints. What actually happened is he stumbled across a scene of devastation and dead animals. This was caused by Gero's earlier ki blast. Krillin looks around and mutters, "What a mess."
CENSOR - When Krillin gets hit in the gut by Dr. Gero, he's supposed to spit out tons of blood, but they censored it, so it looks like he just opens his mouth.
WEIRDNESS - In this episode, there's a lot of animation weirdness involving Dr. Gero's right arm (the one Piccolo ripped off in an earlier episode). His right arm kept coming back! It could sometimes be seen, even though it's supposed to be gone. A lot of people thought Funimation added the arm, but it's in the uncut version too. Looks like it was an animation goof. Watch closely and you'll spot the magically reappearing arm!
MORE WEIRDNESS - More weirdness, but this time, it's a Funimation stuff up. During the part where Piccolo, Tien, and Krillin have just found North City, during the shot below, watch Tien's mouth closely. It moves, but he doesn't say anything!
CUT - I reckon there were cuts in the preview at the end of the episode, because the music skipped and the whole thing generally sounded weird. Vegeta's voice overlapped Dr. Gero's and so did the narrator's, but I don't have an uncut version of the preview, so I can only guess that it showed the part where Dr. Gero "loses his head" and that's what they cut out.
Surprises were in store for me in this episode, with several non-cuts. There was one cut however.
NON-CUT/CENSOR - The part where 17 shoves his hand into 20's side isn't cut or censored, but I thought they would have painted over his hand or something.
NON-CUT - The part where 17 knocks Dr. Gero's head off his shoulders. I thought for sure they would cut that! Especially after they cut it from the preview last episode... but I don't have proof that it was in the preview in the first place. But ah well.
CUT - When Bulma swings Chibi Trunks - who has no pants on - into the air, there's a shot where you see his... well, see for yourself.
This episode has some cuts and censors, mostly just blood.
NON-CUT - Hee hee, they left in the part where Baby Trunks "relieves" himself on Yajirobe's face.
CUT - The Marron scene was cut to shreds again. Stupid Marron. >:( It was really quite impossible to pick up on everything that was cut, but I do remember that there was a part where blood flies out of Master Roshi's nose because of high blood pressure (from watching Marron). Sick really. He had a little bandage type thing in his nose after that, and near the end of the scene, after he discovered that Marron was waving to Turtle and not him, he hit Turtle in the head with it.
CUT - After 18 headbutted Vegeta, there was a cut where blood dripped down Vegeta's face and into his eye, filling his vision with red. Ew!
CENSOR - When Veggie got kneed in the stomach by 18, he spat out a small bit of blood, but they censored it out.
NON-CUT - The part where Vegeta gets his arm broken by Android 18. I didn't think they would cut it, but I wanted to take a screenshot. ^_^ Sorry Veggie.
